My take on: The Life of Teens

Childhood is the best phase of our lives as everyone says, and to be honest, that is true to the word. You can be yourself without any restrictions.

As you grow up, the world starts to hit differently, but there's a time when everyone is lost and the world seems like a maze, that is the "teen phase" or the "adolescent phase" of your life.

Every age group thinks it's hard for them but, trust me life is most rough on teenagers.

They are the ones who are completely lost, who are trying to find themselves, trying to fit in, trying to accomplish everyone's wishes, trying to be their best without being themselves.

For teenagers, the worst thing according to me is school life. It increases the pressure on them to a great extent. They have pressure from their parents, teachers, peers and all this affects the individual's personality. And the worst thing here is that they have hundreds of thoughts and opinions but they are either scared to put them forward or they don't have anyone to talk about it which, affects their mental health. All these locked up thoughts result in nothing but overthinking which actually hits their mental health. Overthinking mostly results in doubting yourself. Self-doubting is basically when others' thoughts and views matter more to you than you own, which is the major issue with everyone. It's not just teens with this issue you see, it's also the adults who have inculcated this habit in their early life. What we should really rely upon is ourselves because when no one's around, it's ourselves and our own thoughts which are gonna be with us.

The teen phase is where some people are going full on in finding themselves while some are totally faking it and fitting in. This is some serious personality crisis. Those who stand different are made fun of , while those who fake it are celebrated. This is the main reason behind the teens hiding their true self.

When the teens are unaware of their true selves, they never really know what their goals are and what they want from life. They just go according to what their elders and others say, which they are bound to regret when they grow old. Whilst, the other set of teens, who know what they want are suppressed by the elders and others. For some reason, their own parents won't believe in them and change their life plans accordingly, which is completely inappropriate.

Basically, the teens go through a lot of hardships which no one really notices and instead of helping them out, we just pressurise them, supress them and make what they are going through even worse.

Making every second count in your teen life is impossible. At some point, being laid-back is what you need to get on the right track. The laid-back people are mostly the ones who turn out to live their lives without any regrets in the future. This doesn't mean that you have to be laid-back all the time, No, what I'm trying to say here is that when you don't do what you are supposed to according to your routine life and drift a little to yourself, you find your true self and that is what makes your life worth. Finding your true self in your teen life is the best way in which you can live your life to the fullest.

So don't just go with the flow, be the flow. Go random, go crazy and that's how teens should really live.

Indeed, we (age no bar) are standing in either of the two compartments - Faking It or Fitting In!

Extremely well worded! Proud of the clarity of thoughts u hold. Keep writing.
